The Beach Boys!!!

Yeah! It’s like a dream come true…although i’m not a baby boomer, I still feel the groove from this exquisite sounding legend of a band. Instead, I may well be called a "late bloomer" since the Beach Boys have been hitting the shores decades before I was even planned or even thought about, or was I…
Anyways, here they were, like knights in shining armour, ready to steal ‘em "old" hearts away, again, and now including ours. My so called friend James had just SMS’ed me about what he has heard over the paper and read on the radio… the Beach Boys were taking a dip on our shores. And yeah, it was true… And so we grabbed some tickets and hit the road.
A lot of old fans fell in line for the concert as the scent of old perfume (or Ben-gay) and pomeade laced the air. James and I could’nt wait to fall in line, so we found ourselves seated in a bar just before the entrance gates and had a couple of beers, no snacks. It took a while for the old timers to get in, although not long enough for the show to started. After the refreshments, we heard over the P.A. that the show was about to start. That loud eh? The beach boys were in the building, and I could hear the crown cheering.
Their tunes like Wouldn’t It Be Nice, I Get Around, Good Vibrations… served well as theme songs from our Cafe Tibidabo days with Sarge (the bartender) and Raymond (the cafe owner). I can just remember the mouth watering salpicao steak served as finger food or "pulutan" as we routinely spent our midnights there daily for quite a while. Oh… I missed those days…I mean "years"…
For me, they brought back the scent, odor, fragrance, stench, aroma, and smell of those Cafe days. Faint faded images of the happy thoughts and feelings lingered around the air as I watched, listened and felt. I enjoyed them all at the same time while peering over the crowd viewing at what seemed to be what was left of the legendary band.
